SFA program - Modern Fire Behaviour

Overview

This specialized SFA course – taught by Lead Instructor and expert Andrew Brassard – is designed to equip students with the knowledge to predict hostile fire events. Students will experience fire events in a safe environment, inside an engineered Class-A live fire unit. This SFA Beyond the Academy course provides qualified and active firefighters with the opportunity to learn specialized skills and advanced techniques using custom SFA equipment and props.

The course includes a four hour presentation about modern fire behaviour, based off years of research and NIST (National Institute for Standards and Technology) and UL (Underwriters Laboratory) studies. Students will be exposed to small scale demonstrations, live fire, and flashover. This is where science meets the streets.

Engage in training on modern fire behaviour, to become a more valuable asset on scene of fire emergencies. This is training done the RIGHT way.
